Post-doctoral position, emlyon business school’s Lifestyle Research Center

Lifestyle Research Center in markets and innovation department at emlyon business school is looking to fill a one (plus one) year funded post-doctoral position for the academic years of 2018-2019 and 2019-2020.

This post-doc position provides promising scholars with excellent opportunity to move forward their articles, further push their research projects, and start new ones.

Lifestyle Research Center at emlyon, located at Ecully campus, makes up a dynamic environment. Members of the centre meet regularly to discuss research, attend and organize invited talks and workshops, mentor PhDs and junior faculty members, and work together in an inspiring and encouraging atmosphere.

Lifestyle Research Center brings together researchers mostly from marketing and consumer research but also converges with organization theory, management and strategy, data science, entrepreneurship, and innovation. We are connected by a shared ambition towards understanding how contemporary lifestyles and markets work, and in particular their ongoing “ruptures” and transformations. We are intellectually open to and inspired by alternative, critical, and novel research methodologies. We aim high. Lifestyle members are very involved and research active. They have published in the top-tier publications including: Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Marketing Management, European Journal of Marketing, Marketing Theory, Consumption Markets and Culture, Organization… Some of them have editorial responsibilities and have strong experience in publishing.

The post-doc candidate we are looking for is passionate about research, energetic and open minded. We want her or him to be fully engaged with us. Responsibilities included high-quality research, taking part in Lifestyle activities, some communication and administrative tasks related to organization of seminars, and mingling with our researchers and Phd students. Teaching is not required but is possible. The working language is English. We welcome, in particular, applications from PhDs in Marketing with a focus on marketing and/or consumer research. We are also happy to consider other Phds with an interest in marketing, branding, markets, identity, consumption practices, experiences, taste, media, big data, visual, video, or other lifestyle-related phenomena. Candidates who have not yet defended their thesis can also apply.
